| FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS |
I want to book the helicopter. How can I do that?
To book the helicopter, contact the ABC Hotel front desk through phone, e-mail, or through our website Contact Page. Please make sure to notify us at least one day prior to your trip.
Can anyone rent this helicopter?
The ABC chopper is for exclusive use of ABC guests only. Only checked-in guests are allowed to use this service.
How much does it cost per hour?
Our helicopter service costs USD 500 per hour or USD 250 per half-hour.
What is its weight capacity and how many passengers can it carry?
The helicopter can carry up to three (3) passengers, weighing 110 kilos each (on average), together with luggage. Please note that the helicopter has limited luggage space. Your carry-on suitcase can be stowed between the two passenger seats behind the pilot, while another small bag can be stowed at the foot of the front passenger seat. If you have a large suitcase, it will take the space of one passenger.
Can I fly at any time?
The helicopter can only be flown during the day and under acceptable weather conditions for flight. The helicopter will not fly in poor weather conditions where there is a threat of low visibility and strong winds. A trip may also have to be cancelled if our pilot, Willy, feels that the weather does not want to cooperate. Keep in mind that Philippine weather is prone to changing suddenly and drastically, especially from May to January from 2 pm onwards.

| THE HELICOPTER & THE PILOT |
What type of helicopter do you have?
We have a brand-new Robinson R44 Raven 11.
Read more about it.
Who is the helicopter’s pilot?
ABC Hotel is proud to have as in-house pilot, Willy. He’s one of the country’s most experienced and respected pilots, and his credentials include having flown the President of the Philippines, executing helicopter stunts and camera work for movies, and thousands of hours in flight experience in different parts of the world. He has so much experience that he has even been involved in two crashes! (But none that he himself had ever caused.)
I’ve never ridden a helicopter before. Is it a safe way to travel?
A helicopter can be a very dangerous form of travel in the hands of an inexperienced pilot. Good thing our hotel has Willy! His expertise in flying our helicopter will outreach your expectations. He had even demonstrated, on one hair-raising occasion, how to land the chopper safely after switching off the engine mid-air!
Where can the helicopter take me?
Technically, you can travel anywhere in the Philippines as long as there is access to fuel.

250 USD – one way trip
Manila is a great city, populated with the best urban attractions that Philippines has to offer. Most tourists coming into the country have inevitably tried and appreciated the glitter and dazzle of the national capital. It is a rare and treasured delight, however, to appreciate Manila from an aerial perspective.
If you've ever seen, heard or experienced Manila's congested roads and heavy rush-hour traffic, then you will most certainly enjoy whizzing by the cars stuck in the traffic jams all over Manila in ABC Hotel's helicopter!
After the glittering landscape of fishnet villages, you are greeted with the poorest areas of the city. From a bird's eye view, the slums of Manila are surreal. The large number of tiny shanties standing on thin bamboo stilts along the coast is quite a sight. From slums to luxury, the metropolitan and highly-developed areas of Manila are a jarring contrast to the previous vision of abject poverty. You first see the industrial ports and shipyards along Manila Bay, and then the hotel skyscrapers lining the side of Roxas Boulevard which gives the most spectacular "bay views" from their windows. Beyond those are the towering skyscrapers of Makati and Fort Bonifacio, the business and up-class entertainment districts respectively of the national capital.
The ABC helicopter does not normally pass through the Makati skyscrapers during trips to or from Manila. However, you may request Pilot Willy to fly through the skyscrapers to spice up your trip.
There are many more landmarks and other interesting things to see in the Manila area. Just ask Willy to fly over a specific place or route if there is anything you would especially like to see. |

| MT. PINATUBO & SUBIC TRIP PACKAGES |

 |
500 USD – round trip (back and forth)
MT. PINATUBO
Mt. Pinatubo is a now-dormant volcano roughly 20-30 miles west of Angeles City. It is world-famous for its eruption in 1991, the largest volcanic eruption in living memory. A plume of volcanic ash, which locals recall as a giant "mushroom cloud," rose to 34 km, and a typhoon passing through Luzon on that day caused the ash to rain down on most of the island, covering Angeles City and villages miles around in a thick, heavy blanket of snow-like ash. The devastating effects of the eruption were felt around the world, causing unprecedented damage on the ozone layer. But it was also undoubtedly beautiful, showing the true majesty of nature and, for many years later, giving the world the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
The eruption has left lasting scars on the volcano itself. Mt. Pinatubo was reduced in size, with a huge crater in place of a crowning point. In the decade or so of its quietude, the crater became a basin for rainwater, and now Mt. Pinatubo is known for the crystalline beauty of its crater lake.
Lucky ABC guests can travel around the dormant volcano via the ABC helicopter. After circling the volcano, you enter the crater on the right side, flying over the mystical cerulean waters of the lake. Note: Passengers on the left side of the helicopter get the best views.
SUBIC
After basking in the pristine beauty of Mt. Pinatubo, you head on to Subic Bay. You can opt to land in Subic to hang out on the beach or at other places for the rest of the day, before you head back to ABC Hotel.
Landing in Subic:
The chopper can land near the coast or at the airport. If you want to spend some time in Subic Bay, please notify our hotel Front Desk as well as Pilot Willy, so we can accommodate your special request and arrange for your extended afternoon at Subic to be included in the flight plan. |

| PUERTO GALERA TRIP PACKAGES |

 |
750 USD – one way trip
1000 USD – round trip (exclusive of accommodation fees)
This is another not-to-be-missed trip! Puerto Galera is a famous beach and dive destination on the island of Mindoro, south of Angeles City and Manila.
The helicopter trip itself is special. On the trip going to Puerto Galera, you will travel over the fishnets spanning the countryside south of Manila. Following the course of the setting sun, you will pass by Corregidor Island (an island fortress which American and Filipino troops defended from Japanese forces), Taal lake and its dwarfish volcano, and the port city of Batangas. After a brief crossing over inter-island waters, you will finally land on an open field littered with carabaos (water buffalos). Next to the field is Sabang Beach, the port of call for travelers at Puerto Galera.
Sabang Bay is in close proximity to some of the country's greatest dive sites. This 1-mile stretch of beach is lined with cozy beach-style bars and resorts. It's a great place to take a starry-night stroll, trying out the few clubs and bars still open for night owls. ABC guests have the exclusive privilege of calling Puerto Galera a "quick daytrip". If you are charmed by the place, it's possible to extend your stay into an overnight trip. On the helicopter trip back, you will get a chance to stretch your legs in Manila's domestic airport while the helicopter refuels before returning to ABC Hotel.
A note on Overnight Helicopter Trips:
For overnight trips to Puerto Galera via helicopter, please inform the hotel's Front Desk so we can accommodate your special request. You would have to pay for Pilot Willy's overnight accommodation, as well as a PHP 1500 fee for a local to guard the helicopter during the night. |

| HUNDRED ISLANDS TRIP PACKAGES |

|
750 USD – round trip (back and forth)
For nature lovers, this day-trip is another absolute must-do. Ask anyone who has taken this trip, and they will tell you that The Hundred Islands is a true natural paradise. It is a cluster of exactly 123 islands of different shapes and sizes, north of Angeles. Each accessible island has their own name and distinct identity, perfect for one of the most beautiful island-hopping trips by "bangka" (a small canoe) in the World.
There is no doubt that as soon as you land on the Hundred Islands, you will believe you are in paradise. The small to medium-sized uninhabited islands are clustered tightly together and are accessible by boat. You have the pick of 123 islands, and at least one of them is bound to fit your particular taste to a tee. Virtually every island has their own small private beach, great for hanging out with friends or having a romantic time with your lover.
After leaving Clark, the helicopter travels over what seems like an endless plain of grass and rice paddies. Although the flying trip may not seem as visually breathtaking as our other daytrip destinations, you can ask Pilot Willy to fly along the coast and pass Subic on your return trip for some postcard-worthy sights. Once you get to your destination, the helicopter will land in a convenient helipad built on one of the islands. This island has a few small bamboo canteens, a fine beach, and is the central point for renting a bangka, kayak, or going snorkeling. The ABC Hotel has its own tour guide, who will make sure you have the best time in the area. |
